{"id":212,"date":"2018-10-29T01:02:49","date_gmt":"2018-10-29T01:02:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/live-keyto-content.pantheonsite.io\/?p=212"},"modified":"2018-10-29T01:02:49","modified_gmt":"2018-10-29T01:02:49","slug":"phase-ii-adaptation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wp-content.getkeyto.com\/?p=212","title":{"rendered":"Phase II &#8211; Adaptation"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Adaptation<\/h1>\n<p>Goal: The goal of this phase is to get your body used to a low carb, high fat diet which results in achieving a Keyto level of 2 or higher. <strong>Do not worry about your weight!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Timeline: 7 days or less (can happen in 2-5 days).<\/p>\n<h2>You are going to do two simple things:<\/h2>\n<p>1. Eat almost no carbohydrates (carbs).<\/p>\n<p>2. Replace the carb calories you were eating with FAT calories.<\/p>\n<p>To do this, you should follow the Keyto food search and meal recommendations here as closely as possible. There are 4 categories.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Red: Foods high in carbs &#8211; try to avoid, especially at the start<\/li>\n<li>Yellow: Foods moderate in carbs &#8211; try to minimize<\/li>\n<li>Green: Foods lower in carbs and higher in fat- eat plenty<\/li>\n<li>Green +: Foods with almost no net carbs and\/or with lots of good fats- eat as much as you want<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong> If you follow the Keyto food search carefully, you will see your Keyto level rise within 1-3 days. Trust us.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Additional tips and things to think about in this phase<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Have fun!
