- There are net carbs from alcoholic beverages (and they count)
- There are calories from alcoholic beverages (and they count too)
- Mixers are also a source of net carbs
- Your tolerance to alcohol may be lower on the ketogenic diet
- Drinking alcohol can cause you to eat foods you otherwise would not
- Always enjoy responsibly

Keto-friendly alcoholic drinks – always drink in moderation
Spirits – vodka, whiskey, tequila, gin – 0 g Net Carbs
Dry Wines – Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, etc. 3-5 g Net Carbs
Champagne, Prosecco, Sparkling Wine – 3-5 g Net Carbs
High Carb Content Alcoholic Beverages That Should Be Avoided
Sweet Wines – Port, Sherry, and desert wines – High carb content (varies)
Beer – Some low carb beers may be okay, but most should be avoided – High carb content (varies)
Mixed Drinks or Sugar Mixes – Sours, Regular Sodas, Fruit Juices – High carb content (varies)
