Brief overview on activity and exercise

Activity and exercise are important components of health. Being active doesn’t mean that you have join a gym or run for miles every day. Taking a walk, parking a little farther away from your destination, or taking the stairs are all excellent ways of gradually increasing your activity level.

People often ask what type of exercise is best and how often should I do it? The best exercise for you is the one you enjoy doing and is sustainable. For some it’s high intensity training, while for others it’s cardio. It doesn’t matter what you pick. All forms of exercise have benefits, but they only work if you do them.

Particularly when starting Keyto, adding exercise is not necessary or even recommended. Give your body the time it needs to adjust to its new fuel source. While the body is very good at adapting to change, introducing too many variables at once can be counterproductive. Remember, the road to health is a marathon not a sprint!

Exercise should be a lifestyle choice to improve your health, not depended on as a weight loss tool. Healthy amounts of exercise cannot erase a calorie-heavy diet – it requires a 45-60 minute walk to burn off a large cookie, half a bagel, or an average candy bar.  Exercise to feel and function better, and above all else, make it fun!
