Are artificial sweeteners okay?

Some artificial sweeteners have little impact on blood sugar making them  better than regular sugar.

These are the best sweeteners:

  • Allulose
  • Monk Fruit
  • Stevia
  • Erythritol

Be careful with blue, yellow, and pink packets as they often contain dextrose (sugar) as an ingredient.

While even the best sweeteners may not contain calories, eating too much of them can promote sugar cravings, overeating, and dependence on sweeter tasting foods. Thus, while some artificial sweeteners are okay, it’s best to have in moderation.
