The Keyto breath sensor and program was designed to help you lose weight, feel better, and improve your health through a science backed low-carb, high fat diet. By blowing into the device, you get actionable feedback in the form of a Keyto level. The higher your level, more fat your body is burning as fuel.
How to get a Keyto reading
The Keyto device and app work together. To get a Keyto reading, you must use the Keyto app. Here are the steps to get started
- Make sure your battery is inserted in your Keyto.
- Pair your Keyto device with your App. To do this, tap the ‘+’ icon on the main Dashboard Screen:
- After you’ve paired your Keyto, you can now get your Keyto Levels. To do this, tap the same ‘+’ button and turn on your paired device. It will connect automatically.
How to blow to get an accurate Keyto Level
- Make sure to keep the Keyto away from your mouth during the warmup process.
- The Keyto will heat up, and when ready, the App will tell you when to blow.
- No need to take a deep breath before blowing. This may feel unnatural, but taking a deep breath is not necessary. Just start blowing from wherever your breath is.
- Blow with medium strength. Not too hard, not too soft.
- Make sure to get to the bottom of your breath (I.E., run out of air) by the end of the 10 second countdown. The acetone we are looking for is at the bottom of your breath.
***If you run out of air before the end of the 10 seconds, it’s OK! No need to take another breath.

What the Keyto Levels Mean
While on Keyto, your goal is for your body to use fat as fuel instead of glucose (sugar). In short, the higher your Keyto Level, the more fat you are using as fuel.
- Level 1-3: You’re using carbs for energy. Limit carbs and sugar to increase your level.
- Level 4: You’re in light ketosis and using fat for fuel. This is a good level to be in, and you will see results.
- Level 5-6: You’re in full ketosis and using mainly fat for fuel. These are optimal levels to be in (reaching level 6+ is not necessary to see results).
- Level 6+: You’re in deep ketosis. This level can be achieved with prolonged adaptation to the diet or fasting. Genetics also play a factor!
