5. What does my Keyto level mean?

The Keyto Breath Sensor measures the amount of a specific ketone (acetone) present in your breath. Studies show for people following a ketogenic diet, increases in acetone are associated with both weight and fat loss.

What the Keyto Levels Mean

While on Keyto, your goal is for your body to use fat as fuel instead of glucose (sugar). In short, the higher your Keyto Level, the more fat you are using as fuel.

  • Level 1-3: You’re using carbs for energy. Limit carbs and sugar to increase your level.
  • Level 4: You’re in light ketosis and using fat for fuel. This is a good level to be in, and you will see results.
  • Level 5-6: You’re in full ketosis and using mainly fat for fuel. These are optimal levels to be in (reaching level 6+ is not necessary to see results).
  • Level 6+: You’re in deep ketosis. This level can be achieved with prolonged adaptation to the diet or fasting. Genetics also play a factor!

Using Keyto should be fun so don’t get discouraged if your score isn’t as high as you’d like. Continue to limit carbs, increase healthy fats, and track how certain foods affect your levels.

Most importantly, have fun and enjoy. As long as you stay on the program, you are on your way to feeling better, losing weight and reaching your best health.
